²¹ For as the Father raises the dead, and makes them alive, so also the Son makes alive whom he will.

¹⁴ And he went and touched the bier; and those who were carrying it, stood still. And he said: Young man, I say to you, Arise. ¹⁵ And he that had been dead, sat up and began to speak; and he gave him to his mother.

⁵⁴ But he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, and said: Child, arise. ⁵⁵ And her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And he commanded that food should be given her.

²⁵ Jesus said to her: I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believes on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live;

⁴³ And when he had said these things, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. ⁴⁴ And he that had been dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes; and his face was bound around with a handkerchief. Jesus said to them: Loose him, and let him go.

² as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that he may give eternal life to all that thou hast given him.

⁸ "What? Is it thought a thing incredible among you, that God raises the dead?

¹⁷ (as it is written: I have made you a father of many nations,) in the sight of him in whom he believed, even God, who makes the dead alive, and calls those things which are not, as though they were. ¹⁸ He, against hope, confidently believed that he would become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken: So shall your posterity be. ¹⁹ And not being weak in faith, he considered not his own body, which was already dead, (for he was about a hundred years old,) nor the deadness of Sarah's womb;

¹¹ And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised the Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies, because of his Spirit that dwells in you.
