¹¹ He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten;
He hideth his face; he will never see it.

¹³ And thou sayest, What doth God know?
Can he judge through the thick darkness? ¹⁴ Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he seeth not;
And he walketh on the vault of heaven.

⁶ He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved;
To all generations I shall not be in adversity.

⁵ They encourage themselves in an evil purpose;
They commune of laying snares privily;
They say, Who will see them?

¹¹ And they say, How doth God know?
And is there knowledge in the Most High?

⁷ And they say, Jehovah will not see,
Neither will the God of Jacob consider.

¹¹ Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. ¹² Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in his chambers of imagery? for they say, Jehovah seeth us not; Jehovah hath forsaken the land.

⁹ Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of wresting [of judgment]: for they say, Jehovah hath forsaken the land, and Jehovah seeth not.

⁶ But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee that had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him, that she is a sinner.
