²⁷ That they may know that this is thy hand;
[That] thou, Jehovah, hast done it.

¹⁹ Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as Jehovah had spoken.

²⁸ And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that Jehovah hath sent me to do all these works; for [I have] not [done them] of mine own mind. ²⁹ If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then Jehovah hath not sent me. ³⁰ But if Jehovah make a new thing, and the ground open its mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down alive into Sheol; then ye shall understand that these men have despised Jehovah.

⁴⁶ This day will Jehovah deliver thee into my hand; and I will smite thee, and take thy head from off thee; and I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day unto the birds of the heavens, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, ⁴⁷ and that all this assembly may know that Jehovah saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is Jehovah's, and he will give you into our hand.

³⁶ And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the [evening] oblation, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. ³⁷ Hear me, O Jehovah, hear me, that this people may know that thou, Jehovah, art God, and [that] thou hast turned their heart back again.

⁷ He sealeth up the hand of every man,
That all men whom he hath made may know [it].

¹³ Arise, O Jehovah,
Confront him, cast him down:
Deliver my soul from the wicked by thy sword; ¹⁴ From men by thy hand, O Jehovah,
From men of the world, whose portion is in [this] life,
And whose belly thou fillest with thy treasure:
They are satisfied with children,
And leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

⁸ So they shall be made to stumble, their own tongue being against them:
All that see them shall wag the head. ⁹ And all men shall fear;
And they shall declare the work of God,
And shall wisely consider of his doing.

² Then was our mouth filled with laughter,
And our tongue with singing:
Then said they among the nations,
Jehovah hath done great things for them.

³² This Jesus did God raise up, whereof we all are witnesses. ³³ Being therefore by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye see and hear. ³⁴ For David ascended not into the heavens: but he saith himself,
The Lord said unto my Lord,
Sit thou on my right hand, ³⁵ Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet. ³⁶ Let all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.

¹⁶ saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been wrought through them, is manifest to all that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
