¹⁴ So shalt thou know wisdom to be unto thy soul;
If thou hast found it, then shall there be a reward,
And thy hope shall not be cut off.

¹⁰ More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the droppings of the honeycomb. ¹¹ Moreover by them is thy servant warned:
In keeping them there is great reward.

¹⁰³ How sweet are thy words unto my taste!
[Yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!

¹¹¹ Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever;
For they are the rejoicing of my heart.

¹ My son, if thou wilt receive my words,
And lay up my commandments with thee; ² So as to incline thine ear unto wisdom,
And apply thy heart to understanding; ³ Yea, if thou cry after discernment,
And lift up thy voice for understanding; ⁴ If thou seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hid treasures: ⁵ Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah,
And find the knowledge of God.

¹⁰ For wisdom shall enter into thy heart,
And knowledge shall be pleasant unto thy soul;

¹³ Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
And the man that getteth understanding. ¹⁴ For the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver,
And the profit thereof than fine gold. ¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies:
And none of the things thou canst desire are to be compared unto her. ¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand;
In her left hand are riches and honor. ¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her paths are peace. ¹⁸ She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her:
And happy is every one that retaineth her.

¹⁸ For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee,
If they be established together upon thy lips.

¹⁸ For surely there is a reward;
And thy hope shall not be cut off.

¹⁶ Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts.

²¹ Jesus said unto him, If thou wouldest be perfect, go, sell that which thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

²⁵ But he that looketh into the perfect law, the [law] of liberty, and [so] continueth, being not a hearer that forgetteth but a doer that worketh, this man shall be blessed in his doing.
