¹⁸ The simple inherit folly;
But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

³⁵ The wise shall inherit glory;
But shame shall be the promotion of fools.

⁷ Wisdom [is] the principal thing; [therefore] get wisdom;
Yea, with all thy getting get understanding. ⁸ Exalt her, and she will promote thee;
She will bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace her. ⁹ She will give to thy head a chaplet of grace;
A crown of beauty will she deliver to thee.

²⁹ He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind;
And the foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart. ³⁰ The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life;
And he that is wise winneth souls.

¹⁹ O Jehovah, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nought but lies, [even] vanity and things wherein there is no profit.

¹⁷ But we will certainly perform every word that is gone forth out of our mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings unto her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

³ And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

²⁹ Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and garnish the tombs of the righteous, ³⁰ and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we should not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. ³¹ Wherefore ye witness to yourselves, that ye are sons of them that slew the prophets. ³² Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

⁸ henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.

¹⁸ knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers;

⁴ And when the chief Shepherd shall be manifested, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.
