³³ But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

²⁰ And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase; ²¹ then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for the three years.

¹¹ And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life, neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies, but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern justice; ¹² behold, I have done according to thy word: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there hath been none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. ¹³ And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches and honor, so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee, all thy days.

¹³ And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said; but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it forth unto me, and afterward make for thee and for thy son.

⁷ In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. ⁸ And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great lovingkindness unto David my father, and hast made me king in his stead. ⁹ Now, O Jehovah God, let thy promise unto David my father be established; for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. ¹⁰ Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this thy people, that is so great? ¹¹ And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of them that hate thee, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: ¹² wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee; neither shall there any after thee have the like.

²⁰ And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah; and he wrought that which was good and right and faithful before Jehovah his God. ²¹ And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

⁹ Oh fear Jehovah, ye his saints;
For there is no want to them that fear him. ¹⁰ The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger;
But they that seek Jehovah shall not want any good thing.

³ Trust in Jehovah, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on [his] faithfulness.

¹⁸ Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect;
And their inheritance shall be for ever. ¹⁹ They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil;
And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

²⁵ I have been young, and now am old;
Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
Nor his seed begging bread.

¹¹ For Jehovah God is a sun and a shield:
Jehovah will give grace and glory;
No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. ¹² O Jehovah of hosts,
Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

¹ My son, if thou wilt receive my words,
And lay up my commandments with thee; ² So as to incline thine ear unto wisdom,
And apply thy heart to understanding; ³ Yea, if thou cry after discernment,
And lift up thy voice for understanding; ⁴ If thou seek her as silver,
And search for her as for hid treasures: ⁵ Then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah,
And find the knowledge of God. ⁶ For Jehovah giveth wisdom;
Out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding: ⁷ He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright;
[He is] a shield to them that walk in integrity; ⁸ That he may guard the paths of justice,
And preserve the way of his saints. ⁹ Then shalt thou understand righteousness and justice,
And equity, [yea], every good path.

⁹ Honor Jehovah with thy substance,
And with the first-fruits of all thine increase: ¹⁰ So shall thy barns be filled with plenty,
And thy vats shall overflow with new wine.

²⁴ Only in Jehovah, it is said of me, is righteousness and strength; even to him shall men come; and all they that were incensed against him shall be put to shame.

⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this is his name whereby he shall be called: Jehovah our righteousness.

² Thus speaketh Jehovah of hosts, saying, This people say, It is not the time [for us] to come, the time for Jehovah's house to be built. ³ Then came the word of Jehovah by Haggai the prophet, saying, ⁴ Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your ceiled houses, while this house lieth waste? ⁵ Now therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways. ⁶ Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages [to put it] into a bag with holes.
⁷ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways. ⁸ Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith Jehovah. ⁹ Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith Jehovah of hosts. Because of my house that lieth waste, while ye run every man to his own house. ¹⁰ Therefore for your sake the heavens withhold the dew, and the earth withholdeth its fruit. ¹¹ And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the grain, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labor of the hands.

¹⁶ Through all that time, when one came to a heap of twenty [measures], there were but ten; when one came to the winevat to draw out fifty [vessels], there were but twenty. ¹⁷ I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the work of your hands; yet ye [turned] not to me, saith Jehovah. ¹⁸ Consider, I pray you, from this day and backward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth [month], since the day that the foundation of Jehovah's temple was laid, consider it. ¹⁹ Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, the vine, and the fig-tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive-tree have not brought forth; from this day will I bless [you].

² Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

¹⁷ From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

⁶ Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

⁴⁴ The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden in the field; which a man found, and hid; and in his joy he goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
⁴⁵ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a merchant seeking goodly pearls: ⁴⁶ and having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

²⁹ And every one that hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life.

²⁹ Jesus said, { Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the gospel's sake, ³⁰ but he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

³¹ Yet seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you.

²⁹ And he said unto them, { Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or wife, or brethren, or parents, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, ³⁰ who shall not receive manifold more in this time, and in the world to come eternal life.}

²⁷ Work not for the food which perisheth, but for the food which abideth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him the Father, [even] God, hath sealed.}

²⁵ And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, shall see my face no more.

³¹ preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, none forbidding him.

¹⁷ For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith.

²¹ But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; ²² even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all them that believe; for there is no distinction;

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God [is] for us, who [is] against us?

³ For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

¹⁷ for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

³⁰ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

²² whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

²¹ Him who knew no sin he made [to be] sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

⁹ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, [even] that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

¹³ who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love; ¹⁴ in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:

⁵ [which is] a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God; to the end that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

⁸ for bodily exercise is profitable for a little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come.

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and [the] Saviour Jesus Christ:

¹¹ for thus shall be richly supplied unto you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
