²⁴ So they called a second time the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is a sinner.

¹⁹ And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to Jehovah, the God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

⁵ Wherefore ye shall make images of your tumors, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land. ⁶ Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? When he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed? ⁷ Now therefore take and prepare you a new cart, and two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke; and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them; ⁸ and take the ark of Jehovah, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass-offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go. ⁹ And see; if it goeth up by the way of its own border to Beth-shemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us; it was a chance that happened to us.

¹⁴ Offer unto God the sacrifice of thanksgiving;
And pay thy vows unto the Most High; ¹⁵ And call upon me in the day of trouble:
I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

⁵ Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hate you, that cast you out for my name's sake, have said, Let Jehovah be glorified, that we may see your joy; but it is they that shall be put to shame.

²⁷ And with him they crucify two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee that had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him, that she is a sinner.

² And both the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.

⁷ And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He is gone in to lodge with a man that is a sinner.

²³ that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father that sent him.

⁴⁶ Which of you convicteth me of sin? If I say truth, why do ye not believe me?

⁴⁹ Jesus answered, { I have not a demon; but I honor my Father, and ye dishonor me.

¹⁶ Some therefore of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. But others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such signs? And there was a division among them.

³⁰ I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh: and he hath nothing in me;

² They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you shall think that he offereth service unto God.

³⁰ They answered and said unto him, If this man were not an evildoer, we should not have delivered him up unto thee.

⁶ When therefore the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify [him], crucify [him]! Pilate saith unto them, Take him yourselves, and crucify him: for I find no crime in him.

³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

² For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. ³ For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God. ⁴ For Christ is the end of the law unto righteousness to every one that believeth.

²¹ Him who knew no sin he made [to be] sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
