⁴⁹ Jesus answered, { I have not a demon; but I honor my Father, and ye dishonor me.

⁴ Answer not a fool according to his folly,
Lest thou also be like unto him. ⁵ Answer a fool according to his folly,
Lest he be wise in his own conceit.

²¹ It pleased Jehovah, for his righteousness' sake, to magnify the law, and make it honorable.

³ and he said unto me, Thou art my servant; Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

¹⁵ But Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer [it] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffereth him. ¹⁶ And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway from the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon him; ¹⁷ and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

²⁹ And he that sent me is with me; he hath not left me alone; for I do always the things that are pleasing to him.}

⁴ But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.

²⁸ Father, glorify thy name.} There came therefore a voice out of heaven, [saying], I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

³¹ When therefore he was gone out, Jesus saith, { Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him; ³² and God shall glorify him in himself, and straightway shall he glorify him.

¹³ And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

⁴ I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.

⁶ who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped, ⁷ but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men; ⁸ and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient [even] unto death, yea, the death of the cross. ⁹ Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name; ¹⁰ that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven and [things] on earth and [things] under the earth, ¹¹ and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
