¹² He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched out the heavens.

¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

⁶ And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. ⁷ And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. ⁸ And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
⁹ And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

⁸ That alone stretcheth out the heavens,
And treadeth upon the waves of the sea;

⁷ He stretcheth out the north over empty space,
And hangeth the earth upon nothing.

⁴ Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Declare, if thou hast understanding. ⁵ Who determined the measures thereof, if thou knowest?
Or who stretched the line upon it? ⁶ Whereupon were the foundations thereof fastened?
Or who laid the corner-stone thereof, ⁷ When the morning stars sang together,
And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

² For he hath founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the floods.

⁶ By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made,
And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

⁶⁹ And he built his sanctuary like the heights,
Like the earth which he hath established for ever.

¹ Jehovah reigneth;
He is clothed with majesty;
Jehovah is clothed with strength; he hath girded himself therewith:
The world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

² Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment;
Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;

²⁴ O Jehovah, how manifold are thy works!
In wisdom hast thou made them all:
The earth is full of thy riches.

⁹⁰ Thy faithfulness is unto all generations:
Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

⁵ To him that by understanding made the heavens;
For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever: ⁶ To him that spread forth the earth above the waters;
For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever:

⁵ Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in Jehovah his God: ⁶ Who made heaven and earth,
The sea, and all that in them is;
Who keepeth truth for ever;

⁴ Praise him, ye heavens of heavens,
And ye waters that are above the heavens. ⁵ Let them praise the name of Jehovah;
For he commanded, and they were created.

¹⁹ Jehovah by wisdom founded the earth;
By understanding he established the heavens.

⁴ Who hath ascended up into heaven, and descended?
Who hath gathered the wind in his fists?
Who hath bound the waters in his garment?
Who hath established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou knowest?

²² [It is] he that sitteth above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;

⁵ Thus saith God Jehovah, he that created the heavens, and stretched them forth; he that spread abroad the earth and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

²⁴ Thus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb: I am Jehovah, that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth ([who is with me]?);

¹² I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens; and all their host have I commanded.

¹⁸ For thus saith Jehovah that created the heavens, the God that formed the earth and made it, that established it and created it not a waste, that formed it to be inhabited: I am Jehovah; and there is none else.

¹³ Yea, my hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spread out the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

⁸ Thus saith Jehovah, In an acceptable time have I answered thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages:

¹³ When he uttereth his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries.

¹⁷ Ah Lord Jehovah! behold, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thine outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for thee,

¹⁵ He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding hath he stretched out the heavens. ¹⁶ When he uttereth his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries. ¹⁷ Every man is become brutish [and is] without knowledge; every goldsmith is put to shame by his image; for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. ¹⁸ They are vanity, a work of delusion: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. ¹⁹ The portion of Jacob is not like these; for he is the former of all things; and [Israel] is the tribe of his inheritance: Jehovah of hosts is his name.

¹ The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. [Thus] saith Jehovah, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:

³ All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made.

¹⁶ for in him were all things created, in the heavens and upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers; all things have been created through him, and unto him;
