⁵ Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

¹¹ And Jehovah said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh [a man] dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? is it not I, Jehovah?

¹⁶ Then he openeth the ears of men,
And sealeth their instruction,

⁸ Jehovah openeth [the eyes of] the blind;
Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down;
Jehovah loveth the righteous;

¹² The hearing ear, and the seeing eye,
Jehovah hath made even both of them.

¹⁸ And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

³ And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. ⁴ And the heart of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.

⁶ I, Jehovah, have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thy hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; ⁷ to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison-house.

¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; in paths that they know not will I lead them; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things will I do, and I will not forsake them.

⁸ Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

⁸ Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from of old thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou didst deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.

⁴ The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.

¹⁰ To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of Jehovah is become unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

²⁷ And as Jesus passed by from thence, two blind men followed him, crying out, and saying, Have mercy on us, thou son of David. ²⁸ And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. ²⁹ Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it done unto you. ³⁰ And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

³ and said unto him, Art thou he that cometh, or look we for another? ⁴ And Jesus answered and said unto them, { Go and tell John the things which ye hear and see: ⁵ the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good tidings preached to them.

²² Then was brought unto him one possessed with a demon, blind and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the dumb man spake and saw.

³⁰ And behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, thou son of David. ³¹ And the multitude rebuked them, that they should hold their peace: but they cried out the more, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, thou son of David. ³² And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I should do unto you? ³³ They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. ³⁴ And Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and straightway they received their sight, and followed him.

¹⁴ And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

³² And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to lay his hand upon him. ³³ And he took him aside from the multitude privately, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spat, and touched his tongue; ³⁴ and looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. ³⁵ And his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. ³⁶ And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it. ³⁷ And they were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well; he maketh even the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

²² And they come unto Bethsaida. And they bring to him a blind man, and beseech him to touch him. ²³ And he took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village; and when he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands upon him, he asked him, Seest thou aught? ²⁴ And he looked up, and said, I see men; for I behold [them] as trees, walking. ²⁵ Then again he laid his hands upon his eyes; and he looked stedfastly, and was restored, and saw all things clearly.

²⁵ And when Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. ²⁶ And having cried out, and torn him much, he came out: and [the boy] became as one dead; insomuch that the more part said, He is dead.

Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor:
He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives,
And recovering of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty them that are bruised,

²⁰ And when the men were come unto him, they said, John the Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that cometh, or look we for another? ²¹ In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and on many that were blind he bestowed sight. ²² And he answered and said unto them, { Go and tell John the things which ye have seen and heard; the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the poor have good tidings preached to them. ²³ And blessed is he, whosoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me.}

¹ And as he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth. ² And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind? ³ Jesus answered, { Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. ⁴ We must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. ⁵ When I am in the world, I am the light of the world.} ⁶ When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and anointed his eyes with the clay, ⁷ and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is by interpretation, Sent) . He went away therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

³⁹ And Jesus said, For judgment came I into this world, that they that see not may see; and that they that see may become blind.

³⁷ But some of them said, Could not this man, who opened the eyes of him that was blind, have caused that this man also should not die?

¹⁷ And Ananias departed, and entered into the house; and laying his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, [even] Jesus, who appeared unto thee in the way which thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mayest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit. ¹⁸ And straightway there fell from his eyes as it were scales, and he received his sight; and he arose and was baptized;

¹⁸ to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.}

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; ¹⁸ having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

¹⁴ Wherefore [he] saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.
