¹² Deliver me not over to the will of my enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

⁷ And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, you bloody man, and you man of Belial: ⁸ The LORD has returned on you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead you have reigned; and the LORD has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son: and, behold, you are taken in your mischief, because you are a bloody man.

¹⁹ Consider my enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

⁸ And have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: you have set my feet in a large room.

¹¹ False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.

²⁵ Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

¹⁶ For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slips, they magnify themselves against me.

² The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed on the earth: and you will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

¹¹ By this I know that you favor me, because my enemy does not triumph over me.

⁸ Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.

⁵⁹ Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; ⁶⁰ But found none: yes, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

¹¹ Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God. ¹² And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came on him, and caught him, and brought him to the council, ¹³ And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceases not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:

¹ And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,

¹¹ And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even to strange cities.
