⁵ I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

¹ Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

⁶ I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.

³ I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not stick to me. ⁴ A fraudulent heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person. ⁵ Whoever privately slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off: him that has an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. ⁶ My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walks in a perfect way, he shall serve me. ⁷ He that works deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that tells lies shall not tarry in my sight. ⁸ I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

²¹ Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate you? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against you? ²² I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.

¹¹ And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why eats your Master with publicans and sinners? ¹² But when Jesus heard that, he said to them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

⁹ I wrote to you in an letter not to company with fornicators: ¹⁰ Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortionists, or with idolaters; for then must you needs go out of the world. ¹¹ But now I have written to you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortionist; with such an one no not to eat.
