⁷ Our fathers understood not your wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of your mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.

¹¹ And they said to Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? why have you dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? ¹² Is not this the word that we did tell you in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

¹⁵ And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you: therefore I command you this thing to day.

⁴ Yet the LORD has not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, to this day.

²⁸ For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them. ²⁹ O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

⁷ But as for me, I will come into your house in the multitude of your mercy: and in your fear will I worship toward your holy temple.

¹ Have mercy on me, O God, according to your loving kindness: according to the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

¹¹ And forgot his works, and his wonders that he had showed them.

⁴² They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.

⁵ Remember his marvelous works that he has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

⁴⁵ And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.

²² How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

¹⁸ They have not known nor understood: for he has shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

⁷ I will mention the loving kindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

³² But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

¹² That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

¹⁷ And when Jesus knew it, he said to them, Why reason you, because you have no bread? perceive you not yet, neither understand? have you your heart yet hardened? ¹⁸ Having eyes, see you not? and having ears, hear you not? and do you not remember? ¹⁹ When I broke the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? They say to him, Twelve. ²⁰ And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? And they said, Seven. ²¹ And he said to them, How is it that you do not understand?

¹¹ Why remember, that you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

¹⁰ And with all delusion of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ¹² That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
