³² But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

¹⁸ And he said to them, Are you so without understanding also? Do you not perceive, that whatever thing from without enters into the man, it cannot defile him;

¹⁷ And when Jesus knew it, he said to them, Why reason you, because you have no bread? perceive you not yet, neither understand? have you your heart yet hardened? ¹⁸ Having eyes, see you not? and having ears, hear you not? and do you not remember?

³³ But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get you behind me, Satan: for you mind not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

¹⁰ And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

¹⁴ Afterward he appeared to the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

⁵⁰ And they understood not the saying which he spoke to them.

⁴⁵ But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

³⁴ And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

²⁷ And on this came his disciples, and marveled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seek you? or, Why talk you with her?

¹⁶ These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things to him.

¹⁹ Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said to them, Do you inquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and you shall see me?
