¹⁴ If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; you also ought to wash one another's feet.

²⁶ But it shall not be so among you: but whoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; ²⁷ And whoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: ²⁸ Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

⁴³ But so shall it not be among you: but whoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: ⁴⁴ And whoever of you will be the most chief, shall be servant of all. ⁴⁵ For even the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

²⁶ But you shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that does serve. ²⁷ For whether is greater, he that sits at meat, or he that serves? is not he that sits at meat? but I am among you as he that serves.

³⁵ I have showed you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

¹⁰ Be kindly affectionate one to another with brotherly love; in honor preferring one another;

¹⁶ Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

¹ We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. ² Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification. ³ For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached you fell on me.

¹³ Why, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world stands, lest I make my brother to offend.

¹⁹ For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant to all, that I might gain the more. ²⁰ And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; ²¹ To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. ²² To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.

¹ Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

¹³ For, brothers, you have been called to liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

¹ Brothers, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted. ² Bear you one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

² Fulfill you my joy, that you be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. ³ Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. ⁴ Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. ⁵ Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: ⁶ Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: ⁷ But made himself of no reputation, and took on him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: ⁸ And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.

⁸ Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; ⁹ And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation to all them that obey him;

² Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹ For as much then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;

⁵ Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.
