² Suffer me a little, and I will show you that I have yet to speak on God's behalf.

¹⁶ And he shall be your spokesman to the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to you instead of a mouth, and you shall be to him instead of God.

⁷ Will you speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him? ⁸ Will you accept his person? will you contend for God?

³ Suffer me that I may speak; and after that I have spoken, mock on.

⁶ Behold, I am according to your wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.

³¹ Mark well, O Job, listen to me: hold your peace, and I will speak. ³² If you have anything to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify you. ³³ If not, listen to me: hold your peace, and I shall teach you wisdom.

²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be you reconciled to God.

²² And I beseech you, brothers, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter to you in few words.
