¹¹ The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

¹ And the LORD said to Noah, Come you and all your house into the ark; for you have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

⁹ He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: why it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.

¹³ But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

¹⁸ Violence shall no more be heard in your land, wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.

⁷ As a fountain casts out her waters, so she casts out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.

¹ Hear the word of the LORD, you children of Israel: for the LORD has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. ² By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood touches blood.

² O LORD, how long shall I cry, and you will not hear! even cry out to you of violence, and you will not save!

⁸ Because you have spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil you; because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.

¹⁷ For the violence of Lebanon shall cover you, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

¹³ (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

¹⁹ Now we know that what things soever the law said, it said to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
