¹⁶ But in the fourth generation they shall come here again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

⁴⁰ Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelled in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.

²⁶ And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

²³ And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

⁵ Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said to me, Lift up now your eyes, and see what is this that goes forth. ⁶ And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goes forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. ⁷ And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sits in the middle of the ephah. ⁸ And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the middle of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead on the mouth thereof. ⁹ Then lifted I up my eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven. ¹⁰ Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Where do these bear the ephah? ¹¹ And he said to me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there on her own base.

³² Fill you up then the measure of your fathers. ³³ You serpents, you generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell? ³⁴ Why, behold, I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them you shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall you whip in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: ³⁵ That on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom you slew between the temple and the altar.

¹⁶ Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath is come on them to the uttermost.

⁸ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. ⁹ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
