¹³ For, brothers, you have been called to liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

⁴³ But so shall it not be among you: but whoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: ⁴⁴ And whoever of you will be the most chief, shall be servant of all. ⁴⁵ For even the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

¹⁸ The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. ³³ They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, You shall be made free? ³⁴ Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. ³⁵ And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the Son stays ever. ³⁶ If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

¹⁴ If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; you also ought to wash one another's feet. ¹⁵ For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.

³⁵ I have showed you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

¹⁸ Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness. ¹⁹ I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as you have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity to iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness to holiness. ²⁰ For when you were the servants of sin, you were free from righteousness. ²¹ What fruit had you then in those things whereof you are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. ²² But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end everlasting life.

¹ We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. ² Let every one of us please his neighbor for his good to edification.

⁹ But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumbling block to them that are weak.

¹⁹ For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant to all, that I might gain the more.

⁴ Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not; charity braggs not itself, is not puffed up, ⁵ Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; ⁶ Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; ⁷ Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

⁵ For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

¹⁵ And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

⁵ To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. ⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. ⁷ Why you are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

²² For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a female slave, the other by a free woman.

¹⁴ For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

² Bear you one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

²¹ Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

³ Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

¹⁵ If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, ¹⁶ And one of you say to them, Depart in peace, be you warmed and filled; notwithstanding you give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit? ¹⁷ Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone.

¹⁶ As free, and not using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

¹⁶ Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. ¹⁷ But whoever has this world's good, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him? ¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. ¹⁹ And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

⁴ For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. ¹¹ Woe to them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. ¹² These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit wither, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
