²⁹ O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

⁴⁰ You shall keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command you this day, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days on the earth, which the LORD your God gives you, for ever.

¹⁶ Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you; that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you, in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

³ Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you, in the land that flows with milk and honey.

¹⁸ And you shall do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which the LORD swore to your fathers.

¹ Therefore you shall love the LORD your God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always.

²⁵ You shall not eat it; that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, when you shall do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.

²⁸ Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you for ever, when you do that which is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God.

¹³ Your eye shall not pity him, but you shall put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with you.

⁷ But you shall in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to you; that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days.

²⁹ O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end! ³⁰ How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?

¹ Then Naomi her mother in law said to her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?

¹¹ Moreover by them is your servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

¹³ Oh that my people had listened to me, and Israel had walked in my ways! ¹⁴ I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries. ¹⁵ The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves to him: but their time should have endured for ever.

³ Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that does righteousness at all times.

¹ Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. ² Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. ³ They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. ⁴ You have commanded us to keep your precepts diligently. ⁵ O that my ways were directed to keep your statutes!

¹⁰ Say you to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

¹⁸ O that you had listened to my commandments! then had your peace been as a river, and your righteousness as the waves of the sea:

¹⁴ That said, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cuts him out windows; and it is paneled with cedar, and painted with vermilion. ¹⁵ Shall you reign, because you close yourself in cedar? did not your father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?

⁴ However, I sent to you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

³¹ And they come to you as the people comes, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their covetousness. ³² And, see, you are to them as a very lovely song of one that has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear your words, but they do them not.

³⁷ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that kill the prophets, and stone them which are sent to you, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and you would not!

²⁸ But he said, Yes rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

⁴² Saying, If you had known, even you, at least in this your day, the things which belong to your peace! but now they are hid from your eyes.

¹⁴ You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.

²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be you reconciled to God.

¹ We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain.

³ That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.

²⁵ See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:

²⁵ But whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

¹⁴ Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
