¹⁸ That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done to their gods; so should you sin against the LORD your God.

³³ They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me: for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.

¹⁶ And you take of their daughters to your sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make your sons go a whoring after their gods.

⁴ For they will turn away your son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy you suddenly. ⁵ But thus shall you deal with them; you shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

³⁰ Take heed to yourself that you be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before you; and that you inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. ³¹ You shall not do so to the LORD your God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hates, have they done to their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

¹⁹ And it shall come to pass, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

¹³ Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which the LORD your God has given you.

³ Why I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare to you.

³⁴ They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them: ³⁵ But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. ³⁶ And they served their idols: which were a snare to them. ³⁷ Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to devils, ³⁸ And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. ³⁹ Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions. ⁴⁰ Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, so that he abhorred his own inheritance.

³³ Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

¹⁷ Why come out from among them, and be you separate, said the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

¹⁴ And if any man obey not our word by this letter, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

⁵ Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw yourself.

¹⁷ And their word will eat as does a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; ¹⁸ Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

³ For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. ⁴ And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues. ⁵ For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
