⁷ For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

²¹ And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

¹⁷ For when he dies he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

²⁴ For riches are not for ever: and does the crown endure to every generation?

¹⁵ As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labor, which he may carry away in his hand. ¹⁶ And this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit has he that has labored for the wind?

²⁰ But God said to him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided? ²¹ So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

²² And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; ²³ And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
