¹ Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do you.

¹³ Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem:

⁴¹ And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

²⁸ And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

³⁰ Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

⁶ Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,

²³ And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.

¹⁷ Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.

¹³ Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

²⁵ But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. ²⁶ For it has pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

¹ Moreover, brothers, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; ² How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their liberality. ³ For to their power, I bear record, yes, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; ⁴ Praying us with much entreaty that we would receive the gift, and take on us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. ⁵ And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us by the will of God. ⁶ So that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. ⁷ Therefore, as you abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that you abound in this grace also. ⁸ I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. ⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.

¹² For the administration of this service not only supplies the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings to God; ¹³ Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection to the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution to them, and to all men; ¹⁴ And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.

² And all the brothers which are with me, to the churches of Galatia:

¹⁰ Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.

⁵ Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

⁷ For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by you, brother.

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

¹⁷ But whoever has this world's good, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?
