²⁴ LORD is my portion, says my soul, therefore I will hope in him. ²⁵ LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. ²⁶ It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of LORD.

⁷ But as for me, I will look to LORD. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.

³ For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hastens toward the end, and shall not lie. Though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come. It will not delay.

⁸ Therefore wait ye for me, says LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey. For my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them my indignation, even all my fierce anger. For all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
