⁶ He is not here, but was raised. Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee,

⁴⁰ For as Jonah was in the belly of the sea-creature three days and three nights, so the Son of man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

²¹ From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders, and chief priests, and scholars, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.

²² And while they turned back in Galilee, Jesus said to them, The Son of man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, ²³ and they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised up. And they were exceedingly sorry.

¹⁸ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be betrayed to the chief priests and scholars. And they will condemn him to death, ¹⁹ and will deliver him to the Gentiles to ridicule, and to scourge, and to crucify. And the third day he will rise.

⁶³ saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said while he was still alive, After three days I am raised.

⁶ He is not here, for he was raised as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

³¹ And he began to teach them that it was necessary for the Son of man to suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and the chief priests, and the scholars, and be killed, and after three days to rise.

⁹ And as they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no man what they saw, except when the Son of man will rise from the dead. ¹⁰ And they kept the saying to themselves, discussing what is the rising from the dead.

³⁰ And having departed from there, they passed through Galilee, and he did not want that any man would know it. ³¹ For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is delivered up into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And after being killed, he will rise the third day. ³² But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to question him.

³³ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem. And the Son of man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scholars. ⁴⁴ And he said to them, These are the words that I spoke to you while still being with you, that it is necessary for all things that are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms about me to be fulfilled. ⁴⁵ Then he opened their mind to understand the scriptures. ⁴⁶ And he said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day,
