²¹ And the people said to Joshua, No, but we will serve LORD.

⁸ And all the people answered together, and said, All that LORD has spoken we will do. And Moses reported the words of the people to LORD.

¹⁹ And they said to Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear, but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

³ And Moses came and told the people all the words of LORD, and all the ordinances. And all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which LORD has spoken will we do.

⁷ And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people. And they said, All that LORD has spoken will we do, and be obedient.

²⁷ Go thou near, and hear all that LORD our God shall say. And speak thou to us all that LORD our God shall speak to thee, and we will hear it, and do it. ²⁸ And LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spoke to me.
