²² For though thou wash thee with lye, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, says the lord LORD.

³⁴ Is not this laid up in store with me, sealed up among my treasures?

³⁰ If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands ever so clean, ³¹ yet thou will plunge me in the ditch, and my own clothes shall abhor me.

¹⁷ My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou fasten up my iniquity.

⁸ Thou have set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
