And she went down to the fountain, and filled her pitcher, and came up. ¹⁷ And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Give me to drink, I pray thee, a little water from thy pitcher. ¹⁸ And she said, Drink, my lord. And she hurried, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink. ¹⁹ And when she had finished giving him drink, she said, I will draw for thy camels also, until they have done drinking. ²⁰ And she hurried, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again to the well to draw, and drew for all his camels.

¹³ And he said to him, My lord knows that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds with me have their young, and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die. ¹⁴ Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant, and I will lead on gently, according to the pace of the cattle that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come to my lord to Seir.
