¹⁶ saying, What will we do to these men? For that indeed a notable sign has happened by them, is apparent to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.

⁵ And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west over the face of the whole earth, and did not touch the ground. And the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

⁸ And the he-goat magnified himself exceedingly. And when he was strong, the great horn was broken, and instead of it there came up four notable horns toward the four winds of heaven.

¹⁶ And they had then a notorious prisoner called Barabbas.

¹⁰ And having looked around on them all, he said to him, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did, and his hand was restored whole as the other. ¹¹ But they were filled with fury, and deliberated with each other what they might do to Jesus.

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom that all those who oppose you will not be able to contradict or to resist.

⁴⁷ Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What are we doing? Because this man does many signs. ⁴⁸ If we allow him this way, all men will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and the nation.

¹⁸ Also because of this the multitude met him, because they heard of him doing this sign.

⁷ And after taking him by the right hand, he lifted him up. And immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened. ⁸ And leaping up, he stood and walked. And he entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. ⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God, ¹⁰ and they recognized him, that this was the man who sat for charity at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. And they were filled of astonishment and amazement at that which happened to him.

¹⁰ And they were not able to withstand the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.
