Romans 9:8 Cross References - ABU

8 That is, not they who are the children of the flesh are children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned as seed.

John 1:13

13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Romans 4:11-16

11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while in uncircumcision; that he might be father of all that believe while in uncircumcision, that the righteousness might be reckoned to them also, 12 and father of circumcision to those who are not only of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham, which he had while in uncircumcision. 13 For not through law was the promise to Abraham, or to his seed, that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if they that are of law are heirs, faith is made void, and the promise is made of no effect. 15 For the law works wrath; for where there is no law, neither is there transgression. 16 For this cause it is of faith, that it may be by grace; in order that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Romans 8:14

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are sons of God.

Galatians 3:26-29

26 For ye are all sons of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all ye who were immersed unto Christ, did put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is no male and female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye are Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 4:22-31

22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by the bondwoman, and one by the freewoman. 23 But the one by the bondwoman was born after the flesh, and the one by the freewoman through the promise. 24 Which things are an allegory. For these women are two covenants, one from mount Sinai, bearing children into bondage, 25 which is Hagar (for the word Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia), and answers to the Jerusalem that now is, for she is in bondage with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27 For it is written: Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not; Because many are the children of the desolate, rather than of her who has the husband. 28 But ye, brethren, after the manner of Isaac, are children of promise. 29 But as then, the one born after the flesh persecuted the one born after the spirit, so also is it now. 30 But what says the Scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son; for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free-woman. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the freewoman.

1 John 3:1-2

1 BEHOLD what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. For this cause the world knows not us, because it knew not him. 2 Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it was never yet manifested what we shall be. We know that if it shall be manifested, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.
