⁹ For this: Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet; and if there is any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

¹⁸ He says to him, Which? Jesus said: Thou shalt not kill; Thou shalt not commit adultery; Thou shalt not steal; Thou shalt not bear false witness; ¹⁹ Honor thy father and thy mother; and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

³⁹ And the second is like to it: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self.

¹⁹ Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honor thy father and mother.

³¹ Second is this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

²⁷ And he answering said: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.

⁷ What then shall we say? Is the law sin? Far be it! But I had not known sin, except through law; for I had not known coveting, if the law had not said: Thou shalt not covet. ⁸ But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of coveting. For without law, sin is dead.

¹³ For ye were called unto liberty, brethren; only use not the liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

⁸ If indeed ye fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well. ⁹ But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. ¹⁰ For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
