He will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others. 10 And have ye not read this scripture: The stone which the builders disallowed, The same is become the head of the corner; 11 This is from the Lord, and is wonderful in our eyes. 12 And they sought to lay hold of him, but feared the people; for they knew that he spoke the parable against them; and they left him, and went away.

I will send my beloved son; perhaps, seeing him, they will reverence him. 14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying: This is the heir; come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may become ours. 15 So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do to them? 16 He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others. And hearing it, they said: Far be it! 17 And he, looking on them, said: What then is this that is written, The stone which the builders disallowed, The same is become the head of the corner. 18 Every one that falls upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. 19 And the scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him in that hour; and they feared the people; for they knew that he spoke this parable against them.

John 15:1-8

1 I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that bears not fruit, he takes it away; and every one that bears fruit, he cleanses it, that it may bear more fruit. 3 Ye are already clean, through the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch can not bear fruit of itself, if it abide not in the vine, so neither can ye, if ye abide not in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abides in me and I in him, the same bears much fruit; because without me ye can do nothing. 6 If any one abide not in me, he is cast forth as the branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever ye will, and it shall be done to you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and ye shall become my disciples.

Romans 11:17-24

17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and thou, being a wild olive-tree, wert grafted in among them, and became a partaker with them of the root and the fatness of the olive-tree; 18 boast not over the branches. But if thou boast, it is not thou that bearest the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then: The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. 20 Well; because of their want of faith they were broken off, and thou standest by thy faith. Be not high-minded, but fear; 21 for if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold then the goodness and severity of God; toward those who fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness; otherwise, thou also shalt be cut off. 23 And they also, if they continue not in their unbelief, shall be grafted in; for God is able again to graft them in. 24 For if thou wast cut out of the olive-tree which is wild by nature, and wast grafted contrary to nature into a good olive-tree; how much more shall these, who are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive-tree?
