¹³ And no one has ascended up into heaven, but he who came down out of heaven, the Son of man who is in heaven.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you alway, unto the end of the world.

¹⁹ The Lord therefore, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down on the right hand of God; ²⁰ and they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed.

⁴² Jesus said to them: If God were your father, ye would love me; for from God I came forth, and am come; neither have I come of myself, but he sent me.

³ knowing that the Father has given all things into his hands, and that he came out from God, and is going to God,

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and have come into the world; again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. ²⁹ His disciples say to him: Lo, now thou speakest plainly, and speakest no parable. ³⁰ Now we know that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any one should ask thee. By this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

⁵ And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

³⁴ For David did not ascend into heaven; but he says himself: The Lord said to my Lord, Sit on my right hand,

²⁸ Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit made you overseers, to feed the church of the Lord, which he purchased with his own blood.

⁶ But the righteousness which is of faith says thus: Say not in thy heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down;)

⁴⁷ The first man was of the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.

²³ which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

⁹ Now this, he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ The one who descended, he is also the one who ascended above all the heavens, that he may fill all things.
