²⁴ For Christ entered not into holy places made with hands, figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;

⁵⁸ We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.

¹⁹ The Lord therefore, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down on the right hand of God;

⁵¹ And it came to pass, while he blessed them, that he parted from them, and was borne up into heaven.

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said to them: Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. ²⁰ Therefore said the Jews: Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days? ²¹ But he said it of the temple of his body.

⁶² What then if ye behold the Son of man ascending up where he was before?

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and have come into the world; again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

⁹ And having spoken these things, while they beheld he was borne up, and a cloud received him out of their sight. ¹⁰ And while they were looking intently into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; ¹¹ who also said: Men of Galilee, why stand ye looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye saw him going into heaven.

²¹ whom the heavens, indeed, must receive, until the times of the restoration of all things, which God spoke of by the mouth of all his holy prophets from the beginning.

³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's chosen? God is he that justifies;

²⁰ which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come; ²² and subjected all things under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,

⁸ Wherefore he says: When he ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men. ⁹ Now this, he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ The one who descended, he is also the one who ascended above all the heavens, that he may fill all things. ¹¹ And he gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers;

² Set your mind on the things above, not on the things upon the earth.

³ who, being the brightness of his glory and the impress of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made a cleansing of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

²⁰ where as forerunner for us Jesus entered, having become a high priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.

²⁵ Whence also he is able to save to the utmost those who come to God through him, since he ever lives to intercede for them. ²⁶ For such a high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

² a minister of the holy places, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

⁵ who minister after an outline and a shadow of the heavenly things, as Moses was admonished by God, when he was about to make the tabernacle; for, See, says he, that thou make all things according to the pattern which was showed thee in the mount.

⁹ which is a figure for the time present, under which are offered both gifts and sacrifices, unable as to the conscience to perfect the worshiper;

¹¹ But Christ, having come as a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands (that is, not of this creation), ¹² and not through the blood of goats and calves but through his own blood, entered once for all into the holy places, obtaining eternal redemption.

²³ It was therefore necessary, that the outlines of things in the heavens should be cleansed with these; but the heavenly things themselves, with better sacrifices than these.

² looking away to the author and finisher of the faith, Jesus; who for the joy set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down on the right hand of the throne of God.

²² who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.

¹ MY little children, these things I write to you, that ye may not sin. And if any one have sinned, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. ² And he is a propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

³ And another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense, that he should give it to the prayers of all the saints, upon the golden altar which is before the throne.
