¹⁰ And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said: Do not lament, for his life is in him.

²³ And the woman was made whole from that hour. And Jesus, coming into the house of the ruler, and seeing the minstrels and the crowd making a noise, ²⁴ said: Give place; for the maiden is not dead, but is sleeping. And they laughed him to scorn.

³⁹ And entering in, he says to them: Why do ye make a tumult, and weep? The child is not dead, but is sleeping.

¹³ And seeing her, the Lord had compassion on her, and said to her: Weep not.

¹¹ These things said he; and after this he says to them: Lazarus our friend has fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
