⁵ For of this they willingly are ignorant, that by the word of God there were heavens of old, and earth framed out of water and by means of water,

¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For every one that does evil hates the light, and comes not to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

²⁸ And as they did not choose to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not becoming;

¹⁷ and he is before all things, and in him all things subsist.

¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness for those who perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this cause God sends them a working of delusion, in order that they may believe the lie; ¹² that they may all be judged, who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

³ Through faith we perceive that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not arisen out of things which appear.
