¹ SIMON PETER, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

¹⁸ And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

² And the names of the twelve apostles are these; first Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

⁴⁷ and my spirit rejoiced in God my Savior.

⁴⁹ Therefore also said the wisdom of God: I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will slay and persecute;

³¹ And the Lord said: Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked for you, to sift as the wheat. ³² But I prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not; and thou, when thou hast turned, strengthen thy brethren. ³³ And he said to him: Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both to prison and to death. ³⁴ And he said: I say to thee, Peter, a cock will not crow this day, till thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

⁴² And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus, beholding him, said: Thou art Simon the son of Jonah; thou shalt be called Cephas, which is interpreted, Peter.

²⁶ If any one serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be. If any one serve me, him will the Father honor.

²¹ Jesus therefore said to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you.

¹⁵ When therefore they had broken their fast, Jesus says to Simon Peter: Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him: Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He says to him: Feed my lambs. ¹⁶ He says to him again a second time: Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me? He says to him: Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He says to him: Tend my sheep. ¹⁷ He says to him the third time: Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus says to him: Feed my sheep.

⁸ And God who knows the heart bore them witness, giving to them the Holy Spirit, as also to us; ⁹ and made no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

¹⁴ Simeon narrated how at first God visited the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

¹ PAUL, a servant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, set apart unto the gospel of God,

¹² that is, to be comforted together among you, by each other's faith, both yours and mine.

¹⁷ For therein is revealed a righteousness of God, from faith to faith; as it is written: The just shall live by faith.

²¹ But now, apart from law, a righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; ²² a righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ, unto all and upon all that believe; (for there is no difference; ²³ for all sinned, and come short of the glory of God;) ²⁴ being justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; ²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith by his blood, for the exhibition of his righteousness, because of the passing over of the sins before committed in the forbearance of God; ²⁶ for the exhibition of his righteousness in this present time, that he may be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.

³⁰ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who from God was made wisdom to us, both righteousness and sanctification, and redemption;

¹ AM I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are not ye my work in the Lord?

⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

¹³ But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, I believed, therefore did I speak, we also believe, therefore also speak;

²¹ Him who knew not sin he made to be sin for us, that we might become God's righteousness in him.

⁸ (for he who wrought for Peter in behalf of the apostleship of the circumcision, wrought also for me in behalf of the Gentiles;)

⁵ which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;

⁵ one Lord, one faith, one immersion,

¹¹ And he gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers;

²⁹ Because to you it was granted in behalf of Christ,—not only to believe on him,—but in his behalf to suffer also;

⁹ and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is of God, upon faith;

⁵ calling to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that it dwells in thee also.

¹ PAUL, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of God's chosen, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness;

⁴ to Titus, a true child according to the common faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

¹³ looking for the blissful hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

¹ PETER, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered through Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia;

⁷ that the proof of your faith, much more precious than gold that perishes, but is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

⁷ To you therefore who believe is the honor; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is become the head of the corner,

¹ THE elders among you I exhort, who am a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, who am also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed;

⁴ through which he has given us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these ye may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world through lust;
