MSTC(i) 2 Then David asked the LORD's advice, saying, "Shall I go and smite the Philistines?" And the LORD said unto David, "Go, and smite the Philistines and save Keilah." 3 Then said David's men unto him, "See, we be afraid here in Judah. What shall we then be, when we come to Keilah, to the host of the Philistines?" 4 Then David asked the LORD again. And the LORD answered him and said, "Up, and go to Keilah; for I will deliver the Philistines into thine hands." 5 And so David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines, and drave away their cattle and slew a great slaughter of them. And so David saved the inhabiters of Keilah. 6 And it chanced when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David to Keilah that he brought an ephod in his hand. 7 And it was told Saul, that David was come to Keilah. Or will Saul come as thy servant heareth say? LORD God of Israel, tell thy servant." And the LORD said, "He will come." 12 Then said David, "Will the men of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?" DouayRheims(i) 2 Therefore David consulted the Lord, saying: Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And the Lord said to David: Go, and thou shalt smite the Philistines, and shalt save Ceila. 3 And the men that were with David, said to him: Behold we are in fear here in Judea, how much more if we go to Ceila against the bands of the Philistines? 4 Therefore David consulted the Lord again. And he answered and said to him: Arise, and go to Ceila: for I will deliver the Philistines into thy hand. 5 David, therefore, and his men, went to Ceila, and fought against the Philistines, and brought away their cattle, and made a great slaughter of them: and David saved the inhabitants of Ceila. 6 Now at that time, when Abiathar, the son of Achimelech, fled to David, to Ceila, he came down, having an ephod with him. 7 And it was told Saul that David was come to Ceila: and Saul said: The Lord hath delivered him into my hands, and he is shut up, being come into a city that hath gates and bars. 8 And Saul commanded all the people to go down to fight against Ceila, and to besiege David and his men. 9 Now when David understood that Saul secretly prepared evil against him, he said to Abiathar, the priest: Bring hither the ephod. 10 And David said: O Lord God of Israel, thy servant hath heard a report, that Saul designeth to come to Ceila, to destroy the city for my sake: 11 Will the men of Ceila deliver me into his hands? and will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O Lord God of Israel, tell thy servant. And the Lord said: He will come down. 12 And David said: Will the men of Ceila deliver me and my men into the hands of Saul? And the Lord said: They will deliver thee up. 13 Then David and his men, who were about six hundred, arose, and departing from Ceila, wandered up and down, uncertain where they should stay: and it was told Saul that David was fled from Ceila, and had escaped: wherefore he forbore to go out.

So David delivered the inhabitants of Ke’ilah. 6 And it came to pass, when Ebyathar the son of Achimelech, fled over to David, to Ke’ilah, that the ephod came down with him. 7 And it was told to Saul that David was come to Ke’ilah. And Saul said, God hath delivered him into my hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that hath gates and bars. 8 And Saul called all the people together to war, to go down to Ke’ilah, to besiege David and his men. 9 And David understood that Saul secretly devised mischief against him; and he said to Ebyathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod. 10 Then said David, O Lord, God of Israel, thy servant hath heard for certain that Saul seeketh to come to Ke’ilah, to destroy the city for my sake. 11 Will the men of Ke’ilah surrender me into his hand? will Saul come down as thy servant hath heard? O Lord, God of Israel, I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And the Lord said, He will come down. 12 Then said David, Will the men of Ke’ilah surrender me and my men into the hand of Saul! And the Lord said, They will surrender. 13 Then arose David and his men, about six hundred men, and departed out of Ke’ilah, and wandered about whithersoever they could go. And when it was told to Saul that David was escaped from Ke’ilah, he forbore to go forth.
YLT(i) 2 And David asketh at Jehovah, saying, `Do I go? —and have I smitten among these Philistines?' 7 And it is declared to Saul that David hath come in to Keilah, and Saul saith, `God hath made him known for my hand, for he hath been shut in, to enter into a city of doors and bar.' 8 And Saul summoneth the whole of the people to battle, to go down to Keilah, to lay siege unto David and unto his men. 9 And David knoweth that against him Saul is devising the evil, and saith unto Abiathar the priest, `Bring nigh the ephod.' 10 And David saith, `Jehovah, God of Israel, Thy servant hath certainly heard that Saul is seeking to come in unto Keilah, to destroy the city on mine account. 11 Do the possessors of Keilah shut me up into his hand? doth Saul come down as Thy servant hath heard? Jehovah, God of Israel, declare, I pray Thee, to Thy servant.' And Jehovah saith, `He doth come down.' 12 And David saith, `Do the possessors of Keilah shut me up, and my men, into the hand of Saul?' And Jehovah saith, `They shut thee up.' 13 And David riseth—and his men—about six hundred men, and they go out from Keilah, and go up and down where they go up and down; and to Saul it hath been declared that David hath escaped from Keilah, and he ceaseth to go out.

Jehovah God of Israel, announce now to thy servant Jehovah will say, He will come down. 12 And David will say, Will the lords of Keilah shut me up and my men into the hand of Saul? And Jehovah will say, They will shut up. 13 And David will rise, and his men, about six hundred men, and they will go forth from Keilah, and they will go wherever they will go. Rotherham(i) 2 So David enquired of Yahweh, saying, Shall I go and smite these Philistines? And Yahweh said unto David––Go, and smite the Philistines, and save Keilah. 3 But the men of David said unto him, Lo! we, here, in Judah, are afraid,––how much more, then, if we go to Keilah, against the ranks of the Philistines? 4 So David yet again enquired if Yahweh, and Yahweh answered him,––and said––Arise, go down to Keilah, for I am about to deliver the Philistines into thy hand. 5 David therefore went, with his men, to Keilah, and fought with the Philistines, and drave forth their cattle, and smote them, with a great smiting, so David saved the inhabitants of Keilah. 6 Now it came to pass, when Abiathar, son of Ahimelech, fled unto David to Keilah, that he came down with, an ephod, in his hand.
7 And, when it was told Saul that David had entered Keilah, Saul said––God hath given him over into my hand, for he hath shut himself in by entering into a city with folding doors and bar. 8 So Saul summoned all the people to war,––to go down to Keilah, to besiege David, and his men. 9 And David ascertained that, against him, Saul was contriving mischief,––so he said unto Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod. 10 Then said David: O Yahweh, God of Israel, thy servant, hath heard, that Saul is seeking to come unto Keilah,––to destroy the city, for my sake: 11 Will the owners of Keilah surrender me into his hand? Will Saul come down, as thy servant hath heard? O Yahweh, God of Israel, I pray thee, tell thy servant. And Yahweh said––He will come down. 12 Then said David, Will the owners of Keilah surrender me and my men, into the hand of Saul? And Yahweh said––They will surrender. 13 Then arose David and his men, about six hundred, and went forth out of Keilah, and went to and fro, whithersoever they could,––and, unto Saul, it was told that David had escaped out of Keilah, so he forbare to go forth.

O Lord, the God of Israel, give ear to your servant, and say if these things are so. Will Saul come down as thy servant has heard? O LORD, the God of Israel, I beseech thee, tell thy servant. And LORD said, He will come down. 12 Then David said, Will the men of Keilah deliver up me and my men into the hand of Saul? Shall we go after the spoils of the Philistines? 4 And David enquired yet again of the Lord; and the Lord answered him, and said to him, Arise and go down to Keila, for I will deliver the Philistines into your hands. 5 So David and his men with him went to Keila, and fought with the Philistines; and they fled from before him, and he carried off their cattle, and struck them with a great slaughter, and David rescued the inhabitants of Keila. 6 And it came to pass when Abiathar the son of Achimelech fled to David, that he went down with David to Keila, having and ephod in his hand. 7 And it was told Saul that David was come to Keila: and Saul said, God has sold him into my hands, for he is shut up, having entered into a city that has gates and bars. 8 And Saul charged all the people to go down to war to Keila, to besiege David and his men. 9 And David knew that Saul spoke openly of mischief against him: and David said to Abiathar the priest, Bring the ephod of the Lord. 10 And David said, Lord God of Israel, your servant has indeed heard, that Saul seeks to come against Keila to destroy the city on my account. 11 Will [the place] be shut up? And now will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? Lord God of Israel, tell your servant. 12 And the Lord said, It will be shut up. 13 And David arose, and the men with him, in number about four hundred, and they went forth from Keila, and went wherever they could go: and it was told Saul that David had escaped from Keila, and he forbore to come.
NSB(i) 2 He asked Jehovah: »Shall I go and attack the Philistines?« Jehovah answered: »Yes, Attack them and save Keilah.« 3 David’s men said to him: »We have enough to be afraid of here in Judah. It will be worse if we go to Keilah and attack the Philistine forces!« 4 David consulted Jehovah once again, and Jehovah said to him: »Go attack Keilah! I will give you victory over the Philistines.« 5 David and his men went to Keilah and fought the Philistines. They drove off their livestock, and overwhelmingly defeated them. So David rescued the people who lived in Keilah. 6 When Ahimelech’s son Abiathar fled to David at Keilah, Abiathar brought a priestly ephod with him. 7 When Saul was told that David went to Keilah, Saul said: »God has delivered him into my hands. He has trapped himself by going into a city which has a gate with a double door held shut by a bar.« 8 So Saul called all the troops to go to war. They wanted to blockade Keilah, where David and his men were. 9 David learned that Saul was planning to harm him. He told the priest Abiathar: »Bring the ephod!« 10 Then David said: »Jehovah God of Israel, I have actually heard that Saul is going to come to Keilah and destroy the city on account of me. 11 »Will the citizens of Keilah hand me over to him? Will Saul come here as I have heard? Jehovah God of Israel, please tell me.« Jehovah answered: »He will come.« 12 »Will the citizens of Keilah hand my men and me over to Saul?« David asked. Jehovah answered: »They will hand you over.« 13 David and his men, about six hundred in all, left Keilah. They went wherever they could go. Then Saul was told: »David has escaped from Keilah! So he gave up the campaign.«
ISV(i) 2 David inquired of the LORD: “Shall I go and strike down these Philistines?”
The LORD told David, “Go strike down the Philistines and deliver Keilah.”
3 David’s men told him, “Look, we’re afraid here in Judah. How much then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine army?”
4 David inquired of the LORD again, and the LORD answered him: “Get up, go down to Keilah. I’ll give the Philistines into your control.” 5 David and his men went to Keilah and fought the Philistines. He carried off their livestock and defeated them decisively, and so David delivered the inhabitants of Keilah. 6 Now when Ahimelech’s son Abiathar had fled to David in Keilah, the ephod had come down with him.
7 It was reported to Saul that David had come to Keilah, and Saul said, “The LORD has delivered him into my hand because he has shut himself in by going into a town with double gates and bars.” 8 Saul summoned for battle all his forces to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.
9 David knew that Saul was devising evil plans against him, and so he told Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod.”
10 David said, “LORD God of Israel. Your servant has definitely heard that Saul intends to come to Keilah to destroy the town because of me. 11 Will the people of Keilah hand me over to him? Will Saul come down just as your servant has heard? LORD God of Israel, please inform your servant.”
The LORD said, “He will come down.”
12 Then David said, “Will the people of Keilah hand me over to Saul?”
The LORD said, “They’ll hand you over.” 13 David and his men, about 600 strong, got up and left Keilah. They moved around wherever they could go. Saul was advised that David had escaped from Keilah, so he stopped the campaign.
LEB(i) 2 So David inquired of Yahweh, saying, "Shall I go and attack these Philistines?" And Yahweh said to David, "Go and attack the Philistines and save* Keilah." 3 But David's men said to him, "Look, we are afraid here in Judah. How much more* if we go to Keilah to the battle lines of the Philistines?" 4 So David again inquired of Yahweh, and Yahweh answered him and said, "Get up, go down to Keilah, for I am giving the Philistines into your hand." 5 So David and his men went to Keilah and fought with the Philistines. They drove off their livestock and dealt them a heavy blow.* So David saved* the inhabitants of Keilah. 6 Now when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled* to David at Keilah, he went down with an ephod in his hand. 7 When it was told to Saul that David had gone to Keilah, Saul said, "God has given him* into my hand, because he has shut himself in by going into a city with two barred gates.* 8 Saul then summoned all of the army for the battle, to go down to Keilah to lay a siege against David and his men. 9 When David learned that Saul was plotting evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, "Bring the ephod here." 10 And David said, "O Yahweh, God of Israel, your servant has clearly heard that Saul is seeking to come to Keilah to destroy the city because of me. 11 Will the rulers of Keilah deliver me into his hand? Will Saul come down as your servant has heard? O Yahweh, God of Israel, please tell your servant!" And Yahweh said, "He will come down." 12 Then David said, "Will the rulers of Keilah deliver me and my men into the hand of Saul?" And Yahweh said, "They will deliver you." 13 So David and his men got up, about six hundred men, and went out from Keilah and wandered wherever they could go. When it was told to Saul that David had escaped from Keilah, he stopped his pursuit.*

So David saved the people of Keilah. 6 (Now Abiathar son of Ahimelech had brought the ephod with him when he fled to David at Keilah.) 7 When Saul was told that David had gone to Keilah, he said, “God has delivered him into my hand, for he has trapped himself by entering a town with gates and bars.” 8 Then Saul summoned all his troops to go to war at Keilah and besiege David and his men. 9 When David learned that Saul was plotting evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod.” 10 And David said, “O LORD, God of Israel, Your servant has heard that Saul intends to come to Keilah and destroy the city on my account. 11 Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me into his hand? 10 Then said David, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, your servant has surely heard that Saul seeks to come to Keilah to destroy the city for my sake. 11 Will the men of Keilah deliver me up into his hand? Will Saul come down as your servant has heard? O Jehovah, the God of Israel, I beseech you, tell your servant.

A Jahve odgovori: "Doći će!" 12 David opet upita: "Hoće li me prvaci Keile predati, mene i moje ljude, u Šaulove ruke?"
I odpověděl Hospodin Davidovi: Jdi a porazíš Filistinské, i Cejlu vysvobodíš. 3 Muži pak Davidovi řekli jemu: Aj, my zde v Judstvu bojíme se, čím více, když půjdeme k Cejle proti vojskům Filistinských. 4 A tak opět David tázal se Hospodina. Jemuž odpověděl Hospodin a řekl: Vstana, vytáhni k Cejle, neboť dám Filistinské v ruce tvé. A přitáhl-li by Saul, jakž slyšel služebník tvůj? Hospodine, Bože Izraelský, oznam, prosím, služebníku svému. Odpověděl Hospodin: Přitáhl by. 12 Řekl ještě David: Vydali-li by mne obyvatelé Cejly i muže mé v ruce Saulovy? Odpověděl Hospodin: Vydali by. 13 Vstav tedy David a muži jeho, téměř šest set mužů, vytáhli z Cejly a šli ustavičně, kamž jíti mohli. Saulovi pak povědíno, že ušel David z Cejly; i nechal tažení.

Herra sanoi: antavat.
FinnishPR(i) 2 Niin Daavid kysyi Herralta: "Menenkö minä ja lyönkö nämä filistealaiset maahan?" Tuleeko Saul, niinkuin palvelijasi on kuullut?
Haitian(i) 2 Lè sa a, David al mande Seyè a: -Eske mwen mèt al atake moun Filisti yo? Seyè a di David: -Ou mèt ale! Atake yo. Delivre lavil Keyila. 3 Men, moun David yo di l' konsa: -Kote nou ye bò isit la nan peyi Jida, nou te pè kont kò nou deja. Sa pral pi rèd pou nou si se pou n' al lavil Keyila pou n' goumen ak lame moun Filisti yo. 4 David tounen al pale ak Seyè a ankò. Seyè a reponn li: -Leve non! Desann lavil Keyila, paske m'ap lage moun Filisti yo nan men ou. 5 Se konsa, David mache sou lavil Keyila avèk tout moun ki te avè l' yo. Li atake moun Filisti yo. Li touye anpil nan yo, epi li pran tout zannimo yo. Se konsa David te delivre moun lavil Keyila yo. 6 Lè Abyata, pitit gason Akimelèk la, te sove al jwenn David, li te desann lavil Keyila avèk Bwat Kontra Bondye a nan men l'. 7 Yo vin di Sayil David te desann lavil Keyila. Epi Sayil di: -Bondye lage l' nan men m' koulye a. Seyè a reponn: -Sayil ap desann vre! 12 David di li: -Eske moun lavil Keyila yo pral lage m' nan men Sayil? Seyè a reponn: -Y'ap fè l' vre. Yo kite lavil Keyila lamenm, yo pati, yo pran mache san konnen kote yo prale. Lè Sayil vin konnen David te chape soti lavil Keyila, li chanje lide, li pa mache sou Keyila ankò.
Indonesian(i) 2 Lalu bertanyalah ia kepada TUHAN, "Haruskah aku pergi menyerang orang Filistin?"
ItalianRiveduta(i) 2 E Davide consultò l’Eterno, dicendo: "Andrò io a sconfiggere questi Filistei?"

PBG(i) 2 I radził się Dawid Pana, mówiąc: Mamli iść, a uderzyć na te Filistyny? I odpowiedział Pan Dawidowi: Idź, a porazisz Filistyny, i wybawisz Ceilę. 3 Tedy rzekli mężowie Dawidowi do niego: Oto my tu w Judzkiej ziemi boimy się, jakoż daleko więcej, jeźli pójdziemy do Ceili przeciw wojskom Filistyńskim. 4 I pytał się jeszcze powtóre Dawid Pana. A odpowiedział mu Pan, mówiąc: Wstawszy idź do Ceili; bo ja dam Filistyny w ręce twoje. 7 Potem powiedziano Saulowi, iż Dawid przyszedł do Ceili. I odpowiedział Pan: Przyjdzie. 12 Nadto rzekł Dawid: Wydadząli starsi z Ceili mnie i męże moje w ręce Saulowe? I odpowiedział Pan: Wydadzą. 13 Wstał tedy Dawid i mężowie jego około sześciu set mężów, i wyszli z Ceili, a uchodzili kędy mogli. A gdy oznajmiono Saulowi, że uszedł Dawid z Ceili, tedy zaniechał wyciągnienia.
Herre, Israels Gud! Åpenbar det for din tjener! Herren svarte: Ja, han vil dra her ned.
