Revelation 1:1-11

Worrell(i) 1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him, to show to His servants the things which must shortly come to pass; and, having sent, He signified them through His angel to His servant John; 2 who testified of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, whatsoever things he saw. 3 Happy is he that reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things written therein; for the time is near. 4 John to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you, and peace, from Him Who is, and Who was, and Who is coming; and from the seven Spirits Who are before His throne; 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful Witness, the First-born of the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him Who loveth, and loosed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and made us a kingdom, and priests to God and His Father; to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, He cometh with the clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall lament over Him! Even so. Amen. 8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," saith the Lord God, Who is, and Who was, and Who is coming, the Almighty. 9 I, John, your brother, and fellow-sharer in the tribulation, and kingdom, and patience in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos, because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day; and I heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet, 11 saying, "What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven assemblies; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."
