Worrell(i) 35 And it came to pass, when He was drawing near to Jericho, that a certain blind man was sitting by the wayside, begging. 36 And, hearing a multitude passing along, he was inquiring what this might be. 37 And they told him, that Jesus the Nazarene was passing by. 38 And he cried, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" 39 And those going before were rebuking him, that he should be silent; but he kept crying out much more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" 40 And Jesus, standing still, commanded that he be brought to Him; and, when he drew near, He asked him, 41 "What do you wish that I should do for you?" And he said, "Lord, that I may receive sight." 42 And Jesus said to him, "Receive sight; your faith has made you whole." 43 And instantly he received sight, and was following Him, glorifying God. And all the people, seeing it, gave praise to God.
