Acts 22:14-21

Worrell(i) 14 And he said, 'The God of our fathers appointed you to know His will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear a voice out of His mouth; 15 because you shall be a witness for Him, to all men, of what you have seen, and heard. 16 And now why do you delay? Arising, be immersed, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.' 17 And it came to pass when I returned to Jerusalem, and while I was praying in the temple, that I came to be in a trance; 18 and saw Him, saying to me, 'Make haste, and go forth quickly out of Jerusalem; because they will not receive your testimony concerning Me.' 19 And I said, 'Lord, they themselves understand that I was imprisoning and beating, throughout the synagogues, those believing on Thee; 20 and, when the blood of Stephen, Thy witness, was poured forth, I myself also was standing by, and approving, and guarding the garments of those who slew him. 21 And He said to me, 'Depart, because I will send you far hence to the gentiles.'
