Williams⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. ² And I saw the new Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride to join her husband. ³ Then I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "See! God's dwelling place is with men, and He will live with them, ⁴ and He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no death any longer, no sorrow, no crying, no pain. The first order of things has passed away." ⁵ Then He who was seated on the throne said, "See! I am making everything new." He continued, "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true."
