Jeremiah 13:1-11 Thus saith the LORD to me, Go and purchase a linen waistband , and put it upon thy loins , and put it not in water.

4 H3947 [H8798] Take H232 the waistband H7069 [H8804] that thou hast bought H4975 , which is upon thy loins H6965 [H8798] , and arise H3212 [H8798] , go H6578 to Euphrates H2934 [H8798] , and hide H5357 it there in a cleft H5553 of the rock.

5 H3212 [H8799] So I went H2934 [H8799] , and hid H6578 it by Euphrates H3068 , as the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded me.

6 H7093 And it came to pass after H7227 many H3117 days H3068 , that the LORD H559 [H8799] said H6965 [H8798] to me, Arise H3212 [H8798] , go H6578 to Euphrates H3947 [H8798] , and take H232 the waistband H6680 [H8765] from there, which I commanded H2934 [H8800] thee to hide there.

7 H3212 [H8799] Then I went H6578 to Euphrates H2658 [H8799] , and dug H3947 [H8799] , and took H232 the waistband H4725 from the place H2934 [H8804] where I had hid H232 it: and, behold, the waistband H7843 [H8738] was marred H6743 [H8799] , it was profitable for nothing.

8 H1697 Then the word H3068 of the LORD H559 [H8800] came to me, saying,

9 H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD H7843 [H8686] , After this manner will I mar H1347 the pride H3063 of Judah H7227 , and the great H1347 pride H3389 of Jerusalem.

10 H7451 This evil H5971 people H3987 , who refuse H8085 [H8800] to hear H1697 my words H1980 [H8802] , who walk H8307 in the imagination H3820 of their heart H3212 [H8799] , and walk H310 after H312 other H430 gods H5647 [H8800] , to serve H7812 [H8692] them, and to worship H232 them, shall even be as this waistband H6743 [H8799] , which is good for nothing.

11 H232 For as the waistband H1692 [H8799] cleaveth H4975 to the loins H376 of a man H1692 [H8689] , so have I caused to cleave H1004 to me the whole house H3478 of Israel H1004 and the whole house H3063 of Judah H5002 [H8803] , saith H3068 the LORD H5971 ; that they might be to me for a people H8034 , and for a name H8416 , and for a praise H8597 , and for a glory H8085 [H8804] : but they would not hear.
