  3 H7200 [H8804] If when he seeth H2719 the sword H935 [H8802] come H776 upon the land H8628 [H8804] , he shall blow H7782 the trumpet H2094 [H8689] , and warn H5971 the people;
  4 H8085 [H8802] Then whoever H8085 [H8804] heareth H6963 the sound H7782 of the trumpet H2094 [H8737] , and taketh not warning H2719 ; if the sword H935 [H8799] will come H3947 [H8799] , and take him away H1818 , his blood H7218 shall be upon his own head.
  5 H8085 [H8804] He heard H6963 the sound H7782 of the trumpet H2094 [H8737] , and took not warning H1818 ; his blood H2094 [H8737] shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning H4422 [H8765] shall deliver H5315 his soul.
  6 H6822 [H8802] But if the watchman H7200 [H8799] will see H2719 the sword H935 [H8802] come H8628 [H8804] , and blow H7782 not the trumpet H5971 , and the people H2094 [H8737] be not warned H2719 ; if the sword H935 [H8799] will come H3947 [H8799] , and take H5315 any person H3947 [H8738] from among them, he is taken away H5771 in his iniquity H1818 ; but his blood H1875 [H8799] will I require H6822 [H8802] at the watchman's H3027 hand.
  7 H1121 So thou, O son H120 of man H5414 [H8804] , I have set H6822 [H8802] thee a watchman H1004 to the house H3478 of Israel H8085 [H8804] ; therefore thou shalt hear H1697 the word H6310 at my mouth H2094 [H8689] , and warn them from me.
  8 H559 [H8800] When I say H7563 to the wicked H7563 , O wicked H4191 [H8800] man, thou shalt surely H4191 [H8799] die H1696 [H8765] ; if thou dost not speak H2094 [H8687] to warn H7563 the wicked H1870 from his way H7563 , that wicked H4191 [H8799] man shall die H5771 in his iniquity H1818 ; but his blood H1245 [H8762] will I require H3027 at thy hand.
  9 H2094 [H8689] Nevertheless, if thou shalt warn H7563 the wicked H1870 of his way H7725 [H8800] to turn H7725 [H8804] from it; if he will not turn H1870 from his way H4191 [H8799] , he shall die H5771 in his iniquity H5337 [H8689] ; but thou hast delivered H5315 thy soul.
  10 H1121 Therefore, O thou son H120 of man H559 [H8798] , speak H1004 to the house H3478 of Israel H559 [H8804] ; Thus ye speak H559 [H8800] , saying H6588 , If our transgressions H2403 and our sins H4743 [H8737] are upon us, and we pine away H2421 [H8799] in them, how should we then live?
  11 H559 [H8798] Say H2416 to them, As I live H5002 [H8803] , saith H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H2654 [H8799] , I have no pleasure H4194 in the death H7563 of the wicked H7563 ; but that the wicked H7725 [H8800] should turn H1870 from his way H2421 [H8804] and live H7725 [H8798] : turn H7725 [H8798] ye, turn H7451 ye from your evil H1870 ways H4191 [H8799] ; for why will ye die H1004 , O house H3478 of Israel?
  12 H1121 Therefore, thou son H120 of man H559 [H8798] , say H1121 to the children H5971 of thy people H6666 , The righteousness H6662 of the righteous H5337 [H8686] shall not deliver H3117 him in the day H6588 of his transgression H7564 : as for the wickedness H7563 of the wicked H3782 [H8735] , he shall not fall H3117 by it in the day H7725 [H8800] that he turneth H7562 from his wickedness H6662 ; neither shall the righteous H3201 [H8799] be able H2421 [H8800] to live H3117 for his righteousness in the day H2398 [H8800] that he sinneth.
  13 H559 [H8800] When I shall say H6662 to the righteous H2421 [H8800] , that he shall surely H2421 [H8799] live H982 [H8804] ; if he will trust H6666 to his own righteousness H6213 [H8804] , and commit H5766 iniquity H6666 , all his righteousnesses H2142 [H8735] shall not be remembered H5766 ; but for his iniquity H6213 [H8804] that he hath committed H4191 [H8799] , he shall die for it.

  15 H7563 If the wicked H7725 [H8686] will restore H2258 the pledge H7999 [H8762] , give again H1500 that which he had robbed H1980 [H8804] , walk H2708 in the statutes H2416 of life H6213 [H8800] , without committing H5766 iniquity H2421 [H8800] ; he shall surely H2421 [H8799] live H4191 [H8799] , he shall not die.

  17 H1121 Yet the children H5971 of thy people H559 [H8804] say H1870 , The way H136 of the Lord H8505 [H8735] is not equal H1870 : but as for them, their way H8505 [H8735] is not equal.
  18 H6662 When the righteous H7725 [H8800] turneth H6666 from his righteousness H6213 [H8804] , and committeth H5766 iniquity H4191 [H8804] , for that he shall even die.
  19 H7563 But if the wicked H7725 [H8800] will turn H7564 from his wickedness H6213 [H8804] , and do H4941 that which is lawful H6666 and right H2421 [H8799] , for that he shall live.
  20 H559 [H8804] Yet ye say H1870 , The way H136 of the Lord H8505 [H8735] is not equal H1004 . O ye house H3478 of Israel H8199 [H8799] , I will judge H376 you every one H1870 after his ways.

  24 H1121 Son H120 of man H3427 [H8802] , they that inhabit H2723 those wastes H127 of the land H3478 of Israel H559 [H8802] speak H559 [H8800] , saying H85 , Abraham H259 was one H3423 [H8799] , and he inherited H776 the land H7227 : but we are many H776 ; the land H5414 [H8738] is given H4181 to us for inheritance.
  25 H559 [H8798] Therefore say H559 [H8804] to them, Thus saith H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H398 [H8799] ; Ye eat H1818 with the blood H5375 [H8799] , and lift up H5869 your eyes H1544 toward your idols H8210 [H8799] , and shed H1818 blood H3423 [H8799] : and shall ye possess H776 the land?

  28 H5414 [H8804] For I will lay H776 the land H4923 most H8077 desolate H1347 , and the pomp H5797 of her strength H7673 [H8738] shall cease H2022 ; and the mountains H3478 of Israel H8074 [H8804] shall be desolate H5674 [H8802] , that none shall pass through.
  29 H3045 [H8804] Then shall they know H3068 that I am the LORD H5414 [H8800] , when I have laid H776 the land H4923 most H8077 desolate H8441 because of all their abominations H6213 [H8804] which they have committed.
  30 H1121 Also, thou son H120 of man H1121 , the children H5971 of thy people H1696 [H8737] still are talking H681 against H7023 thee by the walls H6607 and in the doors H1004 of the houses H1696 [H8765] , and speak H2297 one H259 to another H376 , every one H251 to his brother H559 [H8800] , saying H935 [H8798] , Come H8085 [H8798] , I pray you, and hear H1697 what is the word H3318 [H8802] that cometh forth H3068 from the LORD.
  31 H935 [H8799] And they come H5971 to thee as the people H3996 come H3427 [H8799] , and they sit H6440 before H5971 thee as my people H8085 [H8804] , and they hear H1697 thy words H6213 [H8799] , but they will not do H6310 them: for with their mouth H6213 [H8802] they show H5690 much love H3820 , but their heart H1980 [H8802] goeth H310 after H1215 their covetousness.
  32 H5690 And, lo, thou art to them as a very lovely H7892 song H3303 of one that hath a pleasant H6963 voice H2895 [H8688] , and can play well H5059 [H8763] on an instrument H8085 [H8804] : for they hear H1697 thy words H6213 [H8802] , but they do not perform them.
  33 H935 [H8800] And when this cometh to pass H935 [H8802] , (lo, it will come H3045 [H8804] ,) then shall they know H5030 that a prophet H8432 hath been among them.
