Psalms 146:1-150:6

VIN(i) 1 Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. 2 I will praise the LORD while I live; I will sing praises to my God while I am still alive. 3 Don’t put your trust in princes, in a son of man in whom there is no help. 4 When they stop breathing, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans evaporate! 5 Blessed is he whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God: 6 who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them, the one who keeps faith forever, 7 He executes justice for the oppressed. He gives food to the hungry. the LORD sets the prisoners free. 8 the LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are weighed down. The LORD loves the righteous. 9 the LORD protects the strangers. He supports the fatherless and the widow, but he overthrows the way of the wicked. 10 The LORD will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD. 147 1 Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him. 2 the LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the outcasts of Israel. 3 He heals the broken-hearted, and binds up their wounds. 4 He determines the number of the stars; he calls them all by their names. 5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; his understanding is infinite 6 The LORD upholds the humble. He blesses your children within you; 14 He grants peace within your borders, satisfying you with the finest of wheat. 15 He sends out his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly. 16 He gives snow like wool: he scatters the frost like ashes. 17 He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold? 18 He sends out his word and melts them; he blows his breath, the water flows. 19 He speaks his word to Jacob, his laws and judgments to Israel. 20 He has not done this for just any nation. They do not know his ordinances. Praise the LORD. 148 1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens. Praise him in the heights above. 2 Praise him, all his angels: praise him, all his hosts. 3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. 4 Praise him, you highest heaven and the water above the sky. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 And he put them in place forever and ever, by a decree he gave that will not pass away. 7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures, and all depths. 8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling his word; 9 Ye mountains, and all hills, fruit trees, and all cedars; 10 wild animals and all livestock; small creatures and flying birds; 11 Ye kings of the earth, and all nations; ye princes, and all judges of the earth; 12 young men and maidens, old men and children, 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above the earth and the heavens. 14 He also lifts up the horn of His people, the praise of all His saints, of the sons of Israel, a people near to Him, Praise the LORD. 149 1 Praise the LORD! Let them make music to him with tambourines and lyres. 4 For the LORD takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation. 5 Let the saints rejoice in honor. Let them sing for joy on their beds. 6 May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand, 7 to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with manacles of iron; 9 to carry out on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His saints.
