Luke 23:18-25

VIN(i) 18 But they all cried out in unison: “Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!” 19 (Barabbas had been imprisoned for an insurrection in the city, and for murder.) 20 Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate addressed them again, 21 But they kept on shouting, "Crucify him! Crucify him!" 22 A third time he appealed to them: "Why, what crime has the man committed? I have discovered in him nothing that deserves death. I will therefore give him a light punishment and release him." 23 But they kept shouting the more insistently, demanding that he should be crucified, and their shouts won the day. 24 So Pilate decided to grant their demand. 25 He released the one who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
