Leviticus 23:27-44

VIN(i) 27 But on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement, a holy convocation shall it be unto you, and ye shall fast; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. 28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. 29 Every soul who shall not humble himself on that day, shall be cut off from among his people. 30 "I will destroy those who do any work on that day. 31 "Do not do any work! It is a long lasting law for generations to come wherever you live. 32 It is a sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls beginning on the ninth day of the month. From evening until evening you shall celebrate your sabbaths. 33 the LORD spoke to Moses: 34 Say to the children of Israel, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month let the feast of tents be kept to the Lord for seven days. 35 On the first day shall be a holy assembly: you shall do no regular work. 36 For seven days you must present an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day it shall be a holy assembly for you, and you shall present an offering made by fire to the LORD; it is a celebration; you must not do any regular work. 37 These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy assemblies, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering, and a grain offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, each on its own day; 38 "'This is in addition to the LORD's days of worship, your gifts, all your vows, and your freewill offerings to the LORD. 39 Surely, on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the yield of the land, shall ye celebrate the festival of the LORD seven days,—on the first day, a sacred rest, and, on the eighth day, a sacred rest. 40 "'Take the best fruits, palm branches, the branches of leafy trees and poplars on the first day, and celebrate in the presence of the LORD your God for seven days. 41 "‘It is the LORD’s festival. Celebrate it for seven days each year. This is a long lasting law for generations to come. Celebrate this festival in the seventh month. 42 "'Live in booths for seven days. Everyone born in Israel must live in booths. 43 so that your generations shall know that I made the Israelites live in booths when I brought them from the land of Egypt; I am the LORD your God.'" 44 So Moses declared to the children of Israel the appointed feasts of the LORD.
