31 "The time is coming," proclaims the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
32 It won't be like the covenant I made with their ancestors on the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. They broke my covenant, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD.
33 "But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days," says the LORD: "I will put my law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:
34 And they will teach no more every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD, for they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more.
35 So says the LORD, who gives the sun for a light by day, the laws of the moon, and the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar, the LORD Almighty is His name.
36 "If these ordinances depart from before me," says the LORD, "then the descendants of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever."
37 Thus says the LORD, "If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below can be explored, also I will reject all the offspring of Israel because of all that they have done," declares the LORD.
38 "The time is coming," declares the LORD, "when the city will be rebuilt for me from the Tower of Hananel to Corner Gate.
