Deuteronomy 30

VIN(i) 1 "All these blessings and curses I have spoken about will happen to you. Take them to heart when you are among all the nations where the LORD your God will scatter you. 2 »If you and your children return to the LORD your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your being, doing everything I command you today, 3 then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and will show compassion to you. He will gather you from among the peoples where he had scattered you. 4 Even if the LORD had banished you to the ends of the heavens, the LORD your God will gather you from there 5 Yahweh your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you will possess it. He will do you good, and increase your numbers more than your fathers. 6 The LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live. 7 the LORD your God will put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you and persecuted you. 8 "You shall again obey the LORD, and observe all his commandments that I command you today. 9 the LORD your God will make you prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, for good; for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers, 10 if you obey the LORD your God to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart with all your being. 11 "This commandment that I command you today is not too difficult for you. It is not out of reach. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, “Who will go up for us to heaven, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?” 13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who will go over the sea for us, bring it to us, and proclaim it to us, that we may do it?” 14 For the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. 15 "See, I am setting before you today life and prosperity and death and disaster; 16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply, and that the LORD your God may bless you in the land where you go in to possess it. 17 »If your hearts turn away, and you do not listen, you might be tempted to bow down to other gods and worship them. 18 I'm declaring to you today that you will surely be destroyed. You won't live long in the land that you are crossing the Jordan River to enter and possess. 19 I call heaven and earth as witness this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live: 20 to love the LORD your God, to listen to His voice, and to cleave to Him, for He is your life, and the length of your days live in the land which the LORD has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give it to them.
