2 Samuel 12:1-6

VIN(i) 1 the LORD sent Nathan to David. Nathan came to him and said: "There were two men in a certain city. One was rich and the other was poor. 2 "The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle. 3 but the poor man had nothing except for one little ewe lamb that he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It used to share his food and drink from his own cup. It even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him. 4 And a traveler came to the rich one, and he spared to take of his own flock, and of his own herd, to prepare for the traveler who had come to him. And he took the ewe lamb of the poor man, and prepared it for the man who had come to him. 5 David flew into a rage at the man and told Nathan, "As the LORD lives, the man who did this deserves to die! 6 He shall restore the ewe fourfold, because he did this thing, and had no pity.
